Great PTA and parental involvement along with terrific teachers and a Wonderful Principal who is loving, caring, kind, but also listens to parents, uses her firm authority when necessary, accepts responsibility for her staff and teachers, and doesn't 'make excuses' or 'pass the buck' if something is wrong. She accepts and tries to work with parental suggestions and encourages open communication and training between all parties (teachers, staff, students, parents, admin). Most of the teachers are Incredible and really give of themselves and truly love the kids and communicate with the parents. They have worked hard to Earn Exemplary rating and deserve it, especially for a large school (~1000+/-)

We have a wonderful school. The teachers are very involved with the kids and the parents. Our school does fund raising, and kids closet and other outreach acticities.

My daughter attended school at Blackland Prarie for 5 years and loved every single year. It is very crowded though and teachers make the best of it. We loved it there and felt safe, sad to see the new school boundries because my younger daughter will not be attending same school so we have chosen to go private school for both.
