As with any school,Anderson Elementary has good and bad points. Personally, I feel that the good outweighs the bad. Both of my children currently attend this school and both are above average in all areas. Many teachers/staff members should be commended for going above and beyond their duties. Especially the guidance counselor, Mrs. Faith Hill. Anderson Elementary is truly blessed to have her. It is people like her, that make Anderson Elementary School a success.

Teacher at this school should be commended for allowing students to pray at a moment of silence. This is wonderful school.

My son has attended Anderson Elementary for three years. In that time, we have been blessed with wonderful teachers and staff members. The teachers at Anderson put children first and it shows. The educators at this school go above and beyond the expectations of parents. I am very pleased to have my son attend James Anderson Elementary. I believe they should receive an A+ for their accomplishments. Basing a school's grade on FCAT scores is ridiculous. Teachers that work in the public school system work for less money, less supply money and longer hours. These teachers should be praised for there time and effort in educating our youth.

Unfortunately, James M. Anderson has a problem with violence and theft of student possessions with little or no recovery or resolution. Anderson Elementary has no musical, choral, or art instruction whatsoever. I personally feel that the arts are an integral part of education and also gives a student self-esteem in other academic areas. There is no PTA, so parental involvement is minimal. Elementary, Junior High, & High School students all ride the bus together so there is alot of instances where the older students harass the younger ones. This school also has morning bible study which concerns me with regard to the separation of church & state. Overall, James Anderson Elementary has little to offer a student to succeed in all aspects of life.
