I am a senior in the graduating Class of 2008. This year had been a turnaround for Northwest. Our new principal has a firm demeanor and is serious about turning the school around. There teachers at my school are great. It's majority of the students who come to school. They don't come to school with an attitide to learn. They just come to socialize. I went to Northwest I am now on my way to NC State. You an become successful coming out of this school. It is not as bad as people make it. I believe the new principal will make great changes.
I currently attend NWHS. I am a sophomore, and I know a little bit about the school in general. I agree with the comment about the school being out of control.
Northwest High School need a lot of help. The safety and discipline of the school is very sad. The students are in control in stead of the staff. That to me is ridiculous. The food is not acceptable and the quality is not enough. Northwest could really use a lot of help. Some of the teachers don't know what they are teaching and could careless about the students.
I graduated from northwest in 06 and I think it is a good school in a way. I'm not saying anything bad about the school it just the fact that it could be better. For example the teacher could do a much better job in providing adequate education to the students and make sure the get the best education possible to give to the students.
