School uses Pensicola Christian College ABEKA cirriculum which is known to be very agressive. Each assignment builds, so students must keep up daily. Teachers are dedicated to see that work is done DURING class time. Agree with other poster, no perks...no gym, no sports (except volleyball), no language. Tuition is reasonable but few additional fees so read carefully. Strong bible base school ran as a family business (administrators are relatives). Committed teachers who know children by name

A great school. Too bad they are leaving the campus that they are in now. My child's confident has blossomed tremendously in the school. However, if you are looking for a school with "extras", this is not for you. For about $800 a month, they give you a strong foundation on the basic academic subjects (math, science, language art, history, spelling). No music, foreign language, technology, a little bit of art. However, my child has gotten very strong in all subjects. Tests are not a scary monster anymore. There were many mini quizzes before a big test. It's as if she is ready for test any time. She only spent about 1 hour doing homework everyday. She has tons of times for other enrichement programs or just hang out and chill with us. All projects are child's friendly and realistic. My husband and I did not have many "family projects". She can handle all project mostly by herself.

Among the finest Christian private schools in California. Very strong academically. Alpha Beacon is also located in a beautiful neighborhood, and has a very nice campus.

My daughter just finished her 1st year of kindergarden here and loved it !!! She has really blossomed as did all the children this year. She loved her teacher and it was a pleasure to witness the level of respect all the children had for their teacher. The teachers and staff really give it their all and boy, Is it noticeable. The kids have really grown and are very respectful to classmates, teachers, and the staff. And have had a well rounded curriculum. I could not be happy and I highly reccommend it to any parent considering Alpha Beacon
