Our son did not pass pre-calculus in school and so he enrolled in this online course. What a great way to get your credits! He was able to complete the course at his own pace which was important because of his busy schedule. It also allowed him time to study the material longer if needed. As the parents, we were able to see what he was working on, where he was and how he was doing. He had access to the teacher via email if he had questions. It is costly (somewhere in the neighborhood of $300) - but a great way to complete your needed credits. I would only recommend this for a student that is either self motivated or has very involved parents though - it's easy to just not do it and forfeit your investment.
