as a graduating senior of GHS, I can say with much confidence that it is a shame that a school with such potential must ramble down the wayward path. I cannot stress enough my dissatisfaction with a good portion of the faculty. Pending the new change of principal next year I will be very much suprised if GHS doesnt get much worse. Their curriculum is impractical and irritating at best, and the level of paranoia at which everyone in the building must operate to stay out of trouble is extremely harmful to the already mediocre learning process.
I have been a parent of 2 so far that have gone thru GHS doors and although they have great classes to offer the security is less than deplorable. A nice new school basically and no security at all. We parents need to get together to get some protection for our children.

Gloversville High School has a great program for college bound students. More than surrounding area schools. It has numerous classes that are accepted at many colleges. Specificaly: SUNY Albany & Syracuse University. One of my sons transferred 32 credits from GHS when he went to college. The other son transferred 27. It's a great start for them, gives them a sense of what to expect in college, and also saves money.
