As a school, one would think there would be a great deal of community outreach and support here from the administration, but there is not. The principal here some time ago was wonderful, but the current principal is demanding and makes so many of the teachers here miserable that they have chosen to retire early or have left the school for jobs elsewhere. I do not feel the teachers use their online grade book to keep grades up to date regularly. I am not thrilled with the math series, as it allows for little investigation and a lot of repetition and worksheet type work (less understanding, more memorization). I am not happy with the communication between the principal and community and often wait for a couple days or more to hear from my son's current teacher. Our community is very involved, but many feel that we only get half of the story when an inquiry is made. Our PTFO is awesome, and our kids are eager. What's left of the great staff do the best they can with the pressures they are under... it would be nice to see some changes made from the top.

As I have two children that have passed through this school and helped out often I come to the conclusion that this is one of the best schools in The area. There is plenty of support for the arts as the school offers orchastra, choir, art class, and awesome teachers. My kids really enjoy coming to school every day for they are truely fond of their teachers. The teachers do enforce rules and keep their grades up to par. North Webster Elementary has no negatives in my view.

As a parent of several children in the North Webster Elementary school, I have had nothing but positive experiences with the school. The principal makes the learning environment a pleasant place to be, and cares about each of the students, not only for the kids they are now, but what type of citizens they will be in the future. The teaching staff and programs, such as accelerated reading and math, are all geared toward students achieving their best ability. The parent-teacher organization is one of the best that I know of in its support of the school and its programs.

If parents are willing to drive the extra distance, why wouldn't they be allowed to choose? Every school is not a match for every child and parents know their children best ... More »

Definitely! I believe that families should be allowed to attend any school they want, because there are some who went to a good school and parents want what's best for their kids. Even education.
