Don't like it that the principal and some teachers haven't wanted there to be alot of parent involvement. Alot of parents have pulled away from the school because of this and it is a darn shame! We are way below the other elementary schools in our area when it comes to the number of volunteers and volunteer hours. If you want to be involved with your childs school this is not the place to put your kids.
This will be our third year at Yealey Elementary. Yealey is by far one of the best elementary schools in Boone County! You feel the positive vibes as soon as you walk into the school. The principal is great! She does her best to get to know each parent and student. The teachers are highly skilled and take their jobs very seriously. We have many, many parents that are extremely involved and volunteer continuously! The best part is the teachers and the parents work together as a team to help our students achieve! You just can't find a better school - Yealey rocks!!!
