Typical small town school. The children with parents that work at the school have a lot more pull than other students.

Wonderful, wonderful school. As with most schools, there are issues that are faced within education that parents that are on the outside looking in have all the answers for, i.e., tight budgets, NCLB, tests, federal mandates, 15-20 students in a classroom with different learning needs, and teachers that work above and beyond to make it work. What more can you ask for?

This school does not promote educational excellence. If your child has special needs and wants to be babysat - then Osage is your school. If your child is exceptionally bright, and wants to be bored to tears - then go to Osage. If you like teachers who don't pay attention to your complaints and live in the world of last year's accomplishments then go to USD 420. Some good teachers live a frustrated life trying to deal with an administration that does not want to change. Even when a group of parents tries to voice concerns, their voices are shouted down by those in charge who can't take constructive criticism. My family no longer attends Osage City, although we continue to hope it improves for the better.

A blog by nature is public territory. If you don't want something to be public knowledge, don't post it on the internet.

Privacy stops when you BLOG. If you want to keep things private - then write in a diary and not on the Internet expecting some kind of privacy.
