I currently attend Sequoyah High School, and I think it's a wonderful school. It may not be perfect or huge, but you can receive a lot of one on one time with teachers, which can be essential to your education. Teachers are very friendly and try hard to help you with anything you need, even things that aren't necessarily academic. They intend to improve your life, and so far they have done a great job with everyone I know. Sequoyah is also a safe and friendly school.

I really hate this school. Before I got into high school, I would enjoy waking up and getting out of bed. Until I started homeschooling, getting out of bed was a struggle for me. It would take me so long because I just didn't want to go. The school offered nothing I am interested in. I also didn't have friends. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't fit in here, and I've tried since last year (I am a sophomore) and have failed. Until I started homeschooling, I fought hard but fell weak. I was constantly being bullied and to be honest, most of the teachers are not at all good. Some were awesome, I have to admit. But I just cannot go anymore. It's not worth it. I was driven to a deep state of depression that I cannot get out of and I blame it on the year and one month I spent at this pathetic excuse of a learning facility.

Being a student of high academic standing here requires minimum effort, even in the more 'rigorous' courses. There is absolutely no motivation for AP courses except for the one or two offered. There are minimum extracurricular activities that are notable around here. I would agree from an earlier note about the lack of a National Honor Society. However, the faculty and staff are friendly and will do everything in their power to answer any questions.

Anything on the weekend is too much. Kids need "family and church" time too! 1 hour a night past the age 10 is fine, 30 minutes or less before.
