I have two students at this school and must say it is not the greatest. I have neices and nephews in Aldine and surrounding school districts and the overall learning process and the teachers are much more qualified. This school focus is on what the student is wearing. If there is a design on the shirt or pants. Get a grip these are young children, if half the time was spent on focusing on quality teaching, rather than if a design is on the pant, it would be so much better. There is also a very high theft problem at this school. I have had two coat stolen in two years from my child. I drive my child to school everyday, a week ago she went into the school with a brand new coat. Midday I received a call from staff that her coat was missing. Is it staff?????????????
Clark Primary is far different than it was when my first child went to this school in 2003. Back then, there were very good teachers & students were very motivated. Sadly, many good teachers left. Curriculum wise, it doesn't challenge the students enough; less or no homework is given. Communication between school and parents have also diminished except when it comes to fundraisers. This school has good potential, staff & teachers are nice, however, it's in desperate need for improvements something has to be done so that future students can truly benefit & learn & just be better.
I believe clark is a wonderful school. I have a 4yr old daughter that is in pre k there, and she is learning alot.
Clark Primary school is AWESOME! Their extra curricular programs are absolutely amazing. The P.E. coaches do an incredible job with the volume of K-2nd grade students that fill their gym! The music teacher is amazing and the children learn about music from all around the world. They have three music programs- kinder, first, second grade (christmas program). The art program is above average and studen art is displayed in the lobby. They have book fairs and field trips to the zoo. Ralph Masiello, a famous illustrator visited the school and taught the students about art. The students at Clark Primary are a diverse group and although there are some discipline issues, they do their best when they need to.
