My children attended S. Lee for the first time this school term and I am more than pleased with the school. In my opinion the balance between academics and extra curricular is equal. As far as teachers go, they vary. My daughter had two teachers this year, one was awesome, the other really shouldn't be working with children, she should be a prison warden! The principal is awesome and unlike others I've encountered, she seems to really care about the students.

So far, I am extremely disappointed with Seaborn Lee Elementary. I had originally thought about homeschooling my child and now I wish I had. The curriculum is not challenging and the majority of the teachers are not friendly. As a parent, I expect to have input at my child's school but the teachers give off the fasade that they know more and the parents should not interfere with that. No teacher knows a child better than the parent no matter what your degree may state. The secretary is always friendy and the principal has potential but she needs to get her staff to understand that in order for a school to run efficiently the parents are the heart of the school.

The school seem to stress more on extra-curriculum activities. They cram the students with information. I think the use the students for the personal gain of a good impression for the school and students do not benefit or get the acknowlegement. The curriculm is not rigid there are time when students (4th & 5th) grades come home with one sheet or no homework at all. Too much unprofessoinalism from the teachers (personal business and comments to students) The teachers do not have the support of the administrative staff. The TAG program is a joke it is not challenging at all. The secretary is not aware of events, situations or happenings in the building, although she is always polite and smiling and willing to find out the information. The schools seems to seek recognition that benefits administration as oppose to the students. There were many inconsistencies of the staff/faculty/activities offered.
