E P Todd is now an elementary/middle school serving K-8 and Montessori from 3K-5th now. I have been at EP Todd for... going on the 5th year now. I have a daughter who will be entering 8th grade and 2 (4&5) that will be in the Montessori program for kindergarten. The faculty and principal are wonderful! The principal makes a point to even learn all the children's names! E P Todd has such great standards for the children, they have just received the Palmetto Gold award again. This is a very culturally diverse school and has many extracurricular activities for the children. I am so very pleased to be in this district and be at this school. I won't move because of how wonderful this school is. Parents, teachers, vice principals, and the principal have a great relationship. I have not yet been to another school in the area that has as much parent/faculty interaction and I have been to 3 other schools around here with my oldest. I love this school and cannot praise it enough.

My child has had a very good year in kindergarten, and has learned so much. I can't say enough about how wonderful his teacher is. Teachers, principals, and counselors are all available at a call or email. Very responsive. Also, as the poster mentioned below, it is the only elementary school in town that is truly diverse, racially, culturally, and economically. I am looking forward to trying the Montessori choice program at Todd next year, it appears to be very successful.

E.P. Todd is a very good school with a wonderful principal and dedicated teachers. This is a school making a big comeback, the tests scores are rising and a culture of innovative learning is encouraged. Student academic achievements are celebrated with awards and recognition throughout the year. Students who need more help are identified and receive extra one-on-one tutoring. What I like best is the diversity of families: all economic levels, many races (not just black/white).

Teachers who are firm, tough, yet fair, are mislabeled as, "bullies." This is such a ridiculous and false accusation. I got a tough job but I love my job and I care about the students. People don't have a clue what I do or the challenges... More »

How I handled it varied depending on the circumstances. Teacher bullying is child abuse-proove it 1st! If teacher/pricipal/staff won't stop-go above their heads-Seek help from PTO's,administration, schoolboard, media, even CPS-Child Protective Services.

No one should put up with this. Take it as high as you need to go and follow up everything in writing. Even so far as going to your local paper. School A tolerates bullying and won't help children being victimized. They will listen after that!
