BRES has a wonderful learning environment. The school plans insightful activities that help parents understand their mission and uses of technology, curriculum and standards. The communication between the school and parent as well as teacher and parent has been wonderful. I feel I am truly a part of my daughters learning experience.

We find BRES to be an exceptional school. The administraion, faculty and staff are great in every area. It is evident that they really care about the total child and truly believe and instill in each child that they 'can' and 'will' learn at Broad River. The school's environment is safe and it's top priority is student learning for life-long achievement. I highly recommend this school.

BroadRiver Elementary is a good school the only problem that we have is no communication between Parents and Staff. Many People live with what happened in the past with Teachers who have moved on and Principles who have moved on. It is time to get involved in your child's school that way no other Parent can decide what is write or wrong for your child, Come to a PTO meeting just one time . You will see other parents wanting to hear your voices they are your children let your voice be heard! Mine is I always get involved I need to know how my childs future is being taught, is she getting the coping skills to help her succeed! I will stand by BroadRiver! We need Parenst to get involved you are important!Your child needs to know Mom and Dad care.

Broad River Elementary is a school that is on the move. Issues with safety, homework, and instruction are no longer drawbacks but rather strengths. This is a very nurturing school that emphasizes excellence in education of all of our students. The new administration has been proactive in establishing a school culture that fosters the Primary Years Program/International Baccalaureate that stresses internationalism and principals that help our children understand the importance of education and citizenship. We are dedicated to excellence in education.

My son is in his 4th year at BRES. He has received excellant instruction. The teachers are all great, not to mention the office staff. I am very please and would not even think of sending him to any other school. Usually it's the parents that don't want to get involved that do the complaining.

We pulled our son out of this school because all the teachers wanted to do was have the children play, while they sat on the computer. Then, when it came time for them to be tested, the children were completely clueless. I would not recommend sending any child to that school, unless things change. The one person that helped that school, Mr. Mansell was just transferred. My advice is to find another school or home school your child. They would come out ahead.

We have had several problems with BRES in the two years which my child has attended. There has been very little communication between the parent and classroom. We had to specifically ask for my child to receive homework, and even then it was not on a regular basis. Not really the best practice for a school which, for 3 years consecutively falied to meet state standards. Spelling tests are not given in my child's class because some children fail and others do very well. There are many negative influences in the school. Second graders are threatening eachother with violence and using profanity on a regular basis. The teacher, during a conference, admitted that there is more he could do but has to spend his time with the problem students, whom he mentioned by name. Overall, not a good place to prepare children for success.
