School highlights:
I have a child in the lower elementary classroom and I have been very satisfied. The teachers are very nurturing and helpful. My child is treated as an individual, and not a number. My child is extremely happy and loves school, which is one of the most important things to me. I see my child's progress and I am satisfied that they are getting what they need.
I have had an elementary student at EC Montessori school for 4 years. My child has consistently scored ABOVE grade average in all subjects on standardized testing. I also have a child that loves to learn and asks for more work. I have had only positive interaction with the administration of the school and feel it is the best possible option in Beaufort. I HIGHLY recommend EC Montessori School
This school is in desperate need of a new Director. The current director does not have the credentials or people skills to run a school. It has been so sad seeing this school implode due to mismanagement and lack of revenue to re-vamp the curriculum. The elementary program at this school is awful! Teachers do not track the children's progress to ensure they are meeting educational requirements. Be prepared to gasp when you get the standardized test scores at the end of the year. If you are looking for a challenging elementary curriculum, visit Beaufort Academy of the FREE Riverview charter school. This school is NOT worth your money!!
I have three children at this school (Toddler, Primary, and Upper Elementary). We have been attending this school for 7 years and have been extremely pleased. The staff is educated, nurturing, and execute a true Montessori learning style. Very military friendly environment. The staff is supportive and understanding of parents and children dealing with deployments and the challenges of the military lifestyle.
I have two children currently enrolled at E.C. My daughter started at 2 1/2 years and is now 6, my son has been in for a year and is now 3 1/2. The staff at E.C. is wonderful, nurturing, patient and knowledgeable. The Montessori method of education has been a perfect building block for both of my children's educational foundation. I highly recommend E.C. to any parent looking for an alternative to public education in Beaufort, SC.
We have four children in the primary school and one in the Elementary. We have attended E.C. for three years. The Primary school has been a wonderful experience for me as a mother and for the children. They love going to school everyday and think of learning as something fun to do. The classes encourage self discipline and motivation. The elementary school is unbelievable. It makes me want to go back to elementary school just to use the cool tools they have for learning concepts.
