By far the worst school my kids have attended. There is a strong sense of punishment and not praising the kids for their good grades and behavior.Seems that all you can do is grit our teeth and bear it until the yr is over:(

I am shocked at some of the reviews about BSIS. My son had a great experience the 2 years he attended BSIS. The administration is very fair no matter how much money you have or what your last name is. This is different from some schools who give special treatment to certain people based on the above mention criteria. The reason that parents are no longer able to go on field trips is because some of the parents who chaperoned let the kids run wild and didn't make them follow the field trip rules. The school has great teachers who have high standards. I think sometimes you have to consider the source before you post negative comments about an entire school based on one situation or experience.

THE WORSE 2 SCHOOL YEARS OF ANY OF MY 3 CHILDRENS LIVES. YOU JUST GRIT YOUR TEETH AND KNOW TWO YEARS WILL BE OVER AND THEY CAN GO ON TO BOILING SPRINGS JR HIGH AND PUT IT BEHIND THEM.PARENTS ARE FORBIDDEN TO GO ON FIELD TRIPS WITH THEIR CHILDREN AND CAN BARELY GET PASS THE DOORS.

I love this school! I go to BSIS and all the teachers and staff are very helpful. Mrs. Greer can be mean sometimes but she is awesome.

This is my sons first year in this school. I don't have the words to describe the environment that this schools brings on to a child. The teachers that my son has they are horrible, refuse to listen to any type of reasoning. This has been trully a toughest time and the school has only been in session 3 weeks. Parents need to speak up or nothing will ever change. Concerned parent

BSIS is an excellent school. It is sad to see that some have differing opinions. I think the administration is awesome. Mrs. Greer, Mr. Patterson, and Mrs. Kimble are very organized, friendly, and really care about the students. They are fair and have great expectations for their students. The teachers are awesome as well. They go out of their way and do all they can to teach my child. The school has lots of fun things for my child to do and he is always talking about the exciting days he has at school.

Totally agree with the many negatives at this school and the oppressive enviroment that some of the good teachers there have to deal with under the current regime. These are 5th and 6th graders, kids expected to behave 24/7 like robots. I don't know if I could even perform to the expectations. High standards are wonderful when they are in a nurturing and caring environment. I still have other kids to go there so my only hope is that leadership has climbed another step on the ladder or the district wakes up.

Too many complaints to list them all. My husband & I have even met with the principal & a representative from the district office regarding our concerns, to absolutelly no avail. Our concerns fell on ears that were pretending not to be deaf, but, most assuredly, they did not hear us, or they simply don't care, which is even worse, in my opinion...
