Logan has an amazing fine arts program! The school offers steel drum band, dance, chorus, strings and so much more!! I have two sons in the montessori program. My boys have truly excelled at Logan! They participate in chorus, one is in steel drum band, and they both LOVE the art classes! The school is beautiful!! The teachers/staff are WONDERFUL!! I can not say enough positive things about Logan Elementary!
Logan is an amazing school for all the reasons noted within earlier posts! We have two children enrolled in Montessori and are very happy. Unfortunately, this site does not explain an important reason why Logan's test scores are comparatively lower: the state tests all students by grade level. Logan is blessed to have three special needs classes, and these children are tested by age and associated grade level, not according to their learned and cognitive capacities. For example, the state asks one of our students to take the 5th grade test because of his/her age, but he/she may only be able to perform at the 2nd grade level. These children are an integral part of the wonderfully diverse fabric of Logan and the state must stop punishing them in this way!
Logan is a wonderful school! Not only is it in the most beautiful historic building nestled in the Elmwood Park Neighborhood, but the school itself offers so many things for the kids. Great staff, great leadership, great families -- scores are not everything!

Excellent environment and a dedicated staff. My child is enrolled in the montessori program and he is excited about learning.
Logan is an excellet school! it offers a wide variety of curriculum, including a montessori program and is an abc (arts in the bais curriculum) school. There are numerous opportunities for all students; loagn leopard steel band, west african drum and dance, and logan leopard chorus.
