The behavior of the Spring Valley parents was appaling during the recent High School rezoning during which they hijacked the process and secured an unequal advantage for themselves at the expense of others.
Spring Valley is a place that I will fondly remember for the rest of my life. The teachers and staff are incredible people and I could not have been more prepared for college or for adulthood. Being a student at SVHS taught me how to be responsible for myself and my actions, how to work hard and how to earn success. In comparison to Spring Valley, looking at the educations that teenagers I know are receiving from other schools in the area is appalling. SVHS is one of the best educations any child can get anywhere in the country.

Our son will be a senior this fall (2009) and has been in the Discovery magnet program since his freshman year. He also plays sports. He has encountered a few mediocre teachers, but most of them have been absolutely outstanding. The administration is solid and now that they are in the new building, the facilities are top-notch. It's a great school!

I think Spring Valley offers alot of good things to its students, staff members, and parents. I will be a senior this year and I have to say I've had a great highschool expierience. I'm in the Explorations Magnet program and I have enjoyed many of the things it has offered me. I think Spring Valley has some great teachers and faculty members and I can honestly say I am proud to be a Viking!

It is the first school that I have worked at, where the Adults ran the school. The students are in small classes, with a mix of block and traditional classes. The students have sense of pride in the school. The community and school district support the school. It is a great place to teach or learn.

The Academic programs are stellar, school administration is helpful and interested in the success of every student. Graduates attend top schools as a result of rigorous academics and a wide variety of AP scores. There is a reason that Redbook named Spring Valley as the best high school in South Carolina -- it is first rate in every respect, academics, athletics and organizations. The student body is highly diverse and well integrated and enjoys opportunities galore. The school also has an extensive service learning program that builds community and service minded graduates. I have had two students graduate from Spring Valley and could not be happier or more impressed.

A great public high school. The teachers are well prepared and hold students to high academic standards. The administraton is fair and provides a safe environment. There is a strong core of parent volunteers who provide opportunities not otherwise covered by the district. I had two sons graduate from SV and they both were well prepared for college. They made friends that will probably last a lifetime.

I am currently a student at Spring Valley High School. I absolutely love it and I am a student! For the most part there are outstanding teachers and caring faculty. I am a member of the magnet program and our teachers bend over backwards for us. I am also very active in many ex.co. act. such as: Jr. Civitan, Beta club, Jazz band, Mock trial, Viking band, and I have run cross country. The staff is commented to exellence and strive outstanding reputation. Our academics as well as our atheletics are superb. Spring Valley High School is the best school there is. Go Vikings!
