I am looking to relocate to South Carolina from PA (soon) and searching for a good elementary school that my child will get a good educational experience at. What are people's suggestions on school districts or area to look into? Why?

Hi NicMar0808,

Here's a great article to get you started: http://www.greatschools.org/find-a-school/moving/3986-choosing-a-school-from-a-distance.gs

Good luck, and let us know what you decide!

We are moving to SC from CT in a few months. My husband has been living there since August. From all of the research we've done and people we have spoken to, we are searching in the Richland 2 school district. The Lexington district also has a good reputation. The SC department of education website lists each school and has their score report posted online, which we referred to often. Good luck!

It depends if you have children with special needs like myself,. If you have special needs children with autism Windsor elementary, or roundtop elementary. But overall for typical kids Richland district 2 or Lexington 5. I'm in district 2 now and considering for next school year to move to district 5
