This school is ridiculous. The teachers are ok at times but they seem to never give the students a chance. They are always piling work on top of work on our kids like they dont have a life at home, projects due in the next couple of days that students hardly have time for because they are too busy trying to finish the work for other classes. I just dont understand. Next year when the schedule is changed from a 4 block day to a 7 its going to be unbearable for those poor kids.

Compared to the other options in the area this is a great school, however they do spend a lot of time preparing for PACT tests all the while my son is failing and I can get no one to respond to my requests for help. When do they think it is time to contact (or respond to) the parents? After they have 15 missing assignements and are failing? Well, then it's time to respond to me please! I've been told that they place students with grades below 'c' on academic probation, yet my son has an 'f' and no one has even contacted me. Maybe a little better parent-school communication would be good. I have no problem getting email progress reports but when I try to discuss them with I can never get a response. Better Communication With Parents. However, in the area this is by far the best school

I am a graduate from this school, I receive educational values, life teachings, and the opportunity to better myself. I learned a lot from this school that I carried with me to college.

My daughter went to Mayo. She loved it and I loved seeing her blossom there. She made good friends. She did well in her classes. The principal. Mrs. Johnson, was available and so involved with the success of her students. She is an asset to the school and a very positive role model. The teachers gave individual attention to my daughter and to their other students. She not only grew academically but as a person. Thank you, Mayo staff!

Compared to the high schools in surrounding areas of Darlington, SC, Mayo High for Math, Science, and Technology is a blessing. I am not a parent, I am a former student.
