School highlights:
I am in love with Savannah Grove School. Both of my children have attended and both learned a lot and enjoyed the extra curricular activities. Wonderful teachers & wonderful administrators!
I took my kids out of this school to homeschool them because of this school. My son's grades were falling and he was being bullied and no one there would help me. I felt that they were not giving my children the help that they needed. I requested that my daughter be tested for a learning disability and they would not do it stating that they do not do test for such things.
savannah grove has really brought ouit the best learning in my daughter ever, thanks your the best.
My daughter attends this school, and she has told me nothing but good things about her classes and teachers. Based on my observation of the school, I see descpline, good moral behaovior, and excellent organization of the students and class schedules.
Savannah Grove has been a great learning enviroment for my children. The principle is awesome and really cares about the children and their parents. She is very involved and encourages the parents to be involved as well. I have 3 children attending the school this school year and in another year I will have 4. I would not want them to be anywhere else. :-)
My nephew Nathaniel is a transfer student from Delmae Elementary and I must say his grades have improved tremedously! I am very much involved with his education and when I heard of his improvements, I made a trip all the way from Washington, DC to check out his new school...he is very proud and so am I. Thanks! A big thank you to Ms Wilson, my grandson's 5th grade math teacher. Because of her, he has finally changed his mind about math and now says it is one of his favorite subjects. He is really enjoying her math class. Tyler says 'Ms Wilson makes it interesting and fun'. Thank you so much. He is really starting off with a positive attitude and you are already making a difference in his future. Thank you again. Debbie Exum
Hi, I have two children at this school, in 5th and 6th grade. This is the fourth year we have attended Savannah Grove. At first I wasn't sure about the Principle Mr. Brown, however over time he has showed me how much he cares for is students. Just this year he has made it possible for every child in the fifth grade to have a string instrument, at no cost to the parents. This has been a large financial struggle for the school but with his drive I am sure it will all work out. He makes it possible for his kids to go on class trips every year. My 5th grader is going to Atlanta for 4 days and my 6th grader is going to three or four states. It isn't just the extras though, he has implemented PACT Workshops for the kids and parents to attend so we as parents can better understand how to help. He has one of the best media centers in Florence County. These kids are learning how to take test with remote controls and a computer. He has a goal to have a laptop computer for every student. As a parent I see the need for the children to have access to this type of technology that most children don't get access to til High school maybe college. The teachers here are also top notch. because we are in the country we don't have alot of parent involvement, but the teachers try to make up for this by staying after everyday to help children with homework or anything esle they need. Overall this is one of the best Elementary schools I have ever been involved in and I am sorry I misjudged in the beginning. Keep up the good work Savannah Grove.
