I cannot know what Estill High is doing. they shut down 10 classes. we want and need drivers ed, computer course, and culnary arts! Many sign up and we won't have them or the great teachers that care about us. They will wait til Christmas and know they made BIG mistak. Those teachers will be gone somewhere. How could you do this to us students? You are mean to us and them teachers. You donot care.

My children were going to culinary arts. I was so happy with this teacher and what he knew. He gone way above to get $20,000 for kids kitchen and class things and washer dryer to learn 2008- 2010. He went to people asking for food to cook for which gave him $5000 free food. A farmer gave eggs to cook. Who shut down the program? Why? What's you going to do when too many signed up for 10 classes not there any more? The other schools will be happy to grab on to that good caring teacher. This is not going to work too many kids too many in a room bored with not elctives they do not like. Why did you waste all that money at ROTC place to fix up culnary art when you could of add it to the high school? Do it with the grants money now!

I have gone to all three Estill schools.I feel the schools wouldn't be so bad if we didn't play favorites. Also if they didn't try to hire the whole town of Estill and get rid of some people that work for the district whom I feel is only there to get a paycheck. There are a lot of good teachers but they don't have the help and funds that they should have like other schools. Also I'm mad about the situation with the 08 Seniors. Because Estill is a small town some people can think they can do whatever they like and nobody shall do anything. I also hate the fact that some teachers and staff play favorites. I hate how they treat the students and feel that they can talk to some of them any kind of way and nobody shall do anything about it. I have so many things......

I'm a senior at this school and we don't have any kind of special treatment. We get talked nasty by the principal and doesn't have any kind of respect from the school. We, the class of 2008 is very hurt.

My family holds three generations of graduates from EHS. I am amongst the 2nd generation of graduates and I must say that over time I have witness downfalls and growth in Estill High School. I believe that EHS has the potential to be one of the best high schools in the state of South Carolina. It will take dedication at all levels (students, teachers, parents, and the business community) to ensure that the bar is raised and met academically for EHS. I think success is a reflection of community. In the town of Estill (2007) there are still two types of schools, EHS and PHS. When the community gap is bridged, greater changes will be able to take place within the shool system. As our next president has stated, 'It takes a village to raise a child.' Together these schools can be a powerhouse!

I am a parent, and my child attended Estill High School for her freshmen year, and since then she has moved to a new school. I am not really happy with the school, but I know there are worst. I would especially like to thank Ms. J. Russell for her help. She has really motivated a lot of young girls, and I would like for her to keep up the work. We need more teachers like her. Without looking up to her, I don't think that my child would have made it thru her freshmen year. Thank you Ms. Jenell Russell. Also, to your wonderful and sweet office staff, Ms. Cynthia Frazier & Ms. Ruth!

Estill High is a nice school, but it has a terrible discipline problem. A new principal was hired to make improvements. However, I would not educate my children in this school. I would pay for private schooling. There are some very good teachers, as in all schools, but out of a 90 minute block, almost 30 minutes everyday is spent dealing with discipline issues.

I am proud to say that my daughter is a student at Estill High School. I have always told my daughter that education is there and that you have to get it! Estill High is a wonderful school, but it is up to the students and parents to work tih the school. I have found that many of the teachers there are concerned with the students intellectually and emotionally. I am grateful to Mrs. P. Love who takes up a lot of time with the students. Even when Mrs. Love was hurt and was not being paid she came in on crutches to help prepare the students for the state test. That is what I consider quality! Hope estill realizes what they have in Mrs. Love.
