Teachers should spend less time on computers and eBay and more time teaching. There are numerous parents who have decided to home-school their children because of the teachers. STOP picking on the kids and teach. Do your job. Don't punish the kids because they expect you to do your job. It is Time to re-evaluate some teachers.

I loved all 3 years I went to this school. The school is very deciplined but a GREAT school! I've met so many amazing people and teachers here. The 8th Grade science teacher on the Dolphins Team (Toms) taught me so many things that I never knew, and made it fun too! The 6th grade math teacher (snearly) is a little harsh on the students, but other then that, this school and the teachers are all amazing! I wish I didn't have to leave the 8th grade. I HIGHLY recommend sending your kids here, they'll make awesome friends, like I did (:

Very mediocre school. More low income students than I anticipated. Also fooled by the ratings this district receives on some on-line sites. My child receives barely any homework, no projects ( except spanish) and gets test review sheets the day before a test. Disappointed and looking for other choices. We put two other children through public schools "up north" and there is just no comparision. SC schools are just weak.

The women at the front office should be fired. They are mean, rude and disrespectful to the students and the parents, this sets the tone for the entire school ! Newsflash, if you do not like working with children, QUIT!

The teachers along with the adminstration treat the children awful. I thought my daughter was hormonal until I had the unfortunate experience with the front desk as well as both assistant principles. All they do is complain that there school's rating is declining due to lack of money, well money will not buy you a staff that will respect these children or parents- Stay away if you are thinking about moving to the area- These schools are going down fast! Mooresville will be where I buy my next home!

I have one child in GHMS who is in 8th grade. We have been very impressed with the teachers' dedication to helping kids learn and their level of professionalism. They are more than willing to assist with extra learning opportunities if needed. Based on strong PACT scores, my child was invited to take the SAT exam in 7th grade and scored high enough to be offered to join the Duke University Talent Identification Program. This was made possible by the teaching efforts of the GHMS staff. There are many opportunities for children to be involved with extracurricular activities. My child is in band, the Beta club, and the academic team. In addition, the school supports quality sports teams, cheerleading, and art programs. I am very glad that I will have another child in GHMS next year.
