My daughter has loved all of her teachers here. They remain positive and have encouraged her. The activities really get the kids involved and really make them feel like they are part of something. I believe that is important for any school! The only negative experience my daughter has ever had was with the guidance counselor, Ms. Godwin. My husband and I recently divorced and our 2 children have had a tough time. My daughter is the only child I have at GCO. She went to speak to her guidance counselor, I have encouraged her to do this because it's not always easy to talk to your parents and they are supposed to be there to help our children and help us keep them on the right path, but she was too busy on a personal phone call and my daughter only has a short time after lunch. This hurt her.
I went to this school, threw 4th grade to 8th grade, and I have never meet such great teachers. I would like to give a shout out to Mrs.Skinner, and Ms. Bannister. Great Teachers, and just great staff!
Great school all over great staff also.
