School highlights:
This school was once a stellar school. Recent administrative changes have resulted in poor leadership, and poor decisions in running the school. Students are not first. Academics are not first. The image of the school is first. It is despicable. As a teacher, I had no choice but to resign.
I am a new teacher in the upper school (9-12th grade) at CCES. Next year will be my second year. This is a great place to work. Administration is supportive, and parents show a lot of appreciation. The facilities are exceptional. The disciplinary problems with students are minimal. I feel very fortunate to be a part of this environment.
CCES is a wonderful school community to be a part of for both students and parents. In my opinion, the education is world class. They have a wonderful summer program as well. I cannot imagine sending my child to any other school in the area.
Students are given exposure to a wide variety of subjects, leadership opportunities in student and administrative areas and guidance so they can excel in academic endeavors.
I am a student at Christ Church and have been one for eight years and the school offers so much. You have the chioce to excell in acedimics, sports, and music at the same time. Although Christ Church has a number of snobs it is overall a great school. I have the chance to play football, was the President of my class, and was the head of the chapel committe. You can really depend on Christ Church to give you the best education that you can get.
I am a student at Christ Church and have been going to Christ Church for 11 years and I still love it. While one student said the students are ignorant to the world around them I think this is highly untrue. While the students here are mostly wealthy they (we) do understand poverty and the world around us. In fact, most of the students that go here are very liberal towards most issues. As a very conservative student myself I respect my fellow students and their ideas and they help me learn more about the world each day. Christ Church is an amazing school with exceptional academics. Any student, like myself, should feel honored and blessed to go to such an amazing school and get such a great education.
I went to Christ Church for two years before moving to Florida. Christ Church is an elite private school (for Greenville anyhow) which has outstanding academics but is very expensive. The athletics are nothing to sneer at as CCES excels in the 'country club' sports: golf, tennis, soccer, swimming (not football). The students are very wealthy and almost all go to college. However, there are few non-white students and the student body in general is fairly stuck-up and ignorant of poverty and the world around them. CCES has beautiful facilities. Many students also experiment with or have outright problems with drugs; alcohol is also very present. CCES is a good school if you're wealthy and the Greenville elite decide to take you in.
Christ Church Episcopal School in Greenville, SC is an amazing experience. My daughter is in second grade here and has been a student with CCES since Primer (K). The level of personalization that this school offers both our child and our family is well above that of any other school I have ever experienced. The accelerated academic program CCES offers is flawless. Every child is confident and feels successful at the same time they are gracefully pushed to reached their full potential academically. It is truly a sight to behold. I am an educator in the Public School arena and am very particular about my child's education. It was not a difficult choice for us at all once we saw first hand what CCES has to offer. Parents enjoy participating in a variety of volunteer opportunities that really bring the 'family' relationship to life. CCES has gone above and beyond our expectation.
