When we were looking for a private Christian school 9 years ago, MZCS was an answer to prayer. The administrator who gave the tour, Mrs. Kimberly, was enthusiastic in her explanation of the curriculum, activities, and over all vision of the school. As for the teachers, well, I can't say enough about their dedication and love for the children. They will be missed when my son graduates this spring. Our daughter who is now a freshman in college, did extremely well when moving from MZ into high school. She made high honor roll all 4 years at MZ as well high school and graduated from JL Mann in the math magnet program with high honors as well as making deans list the first quarter of freshman year. As for my son, who started in Kindergarten has made honor roll his entire "career" at MZ and will be attending a charter high school in the fall. Both of my children served in Jr. Beta club as well as participated in sports during their middle school years. (Volleyball and basketball for my daughter and basketball and golf for my son.) We also have made lifelong friends for our entire family and also found an awesome church. If you are looking for a private education for your child, Mount Zion Christian School is an affordable and excellent option! The only bad thing I can say about MZ is that it doesn't have a high school! (Hint hint)

I currently have a child at Mt. Zion and would recommend this school to anyone without reservation. The curriculum is challenging and the teachers are very caring. They give individual attention to every child and are always willing to work with the parents. It is a truly Christian environment where the love of God and respect for others is taught and practiced on a daily basis.

School has lack of leadership and practices double standards. Very few parents are actually involved. Teachers obviously love the students.

The teachers and administrators clearly care for each individual child. Communication between teachers and parents is excellent. Biblical teaching and Christian character building is priority...

I have two sons in Mt. Zion and I've been totally impressed with the curriculum. I compared Mt. Zion's curriculum against Greenville county public schools, and found them to be teaching a grade ahead of public! My son writes in cursive and print in K-5, not to mention the reading and math skills taught!
