Washington Street School is a very good school. My daughter has been on the honor roll since she began school. I was fortuate my my daughter to have had experienced teachers as well as cared for her personal growth. Report cards do not necessarily show the good in the school.

Washington Elementary School is an excellent school. No matter what the school report card says. The pricipal and teachers are well knowledgable. The school exhibits a clean and friendly environment. I strongly believe with no doubt in my mind that my two daughters are in good hands academically as well as socially. I am proud to be a parent of Washington Street Elementary School.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 South Carolina used the Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (PASS) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in writing, English/Language Arts, Math, Social Studies and Science. The PASS is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of South Carolina. The goal is for all students to score at or above the state standard.
