As a student that had once attended a school that exceeded the national average in test taking skills, this school cannot compete even though it has the potential. The aministration is too strict as well.
Lamar High is a much better school than people give it credit for. Lamar has many excellent teachers. However, I can't say the same for the administration. The principals tend to go overboard on minor infractions. For the most part Lamar is an average school.
