I have 2 children that attend James B. Edwards. We have been very pleased with the education and care our children have received there. The staff and teachers are working hard to give their best for our kids! We truly have a "family feeling" at our school ... It takes a village to raise these kids well these days!! The entire JBE family is looking forward to being The Global Leadership School in Mount Pleasant, SC! We are excited about all the opportunities are kids are going to have.
Both my children attend JBE...we love it! They have a very active PTO, excellent teachers and staff, and we love the community atmosphere. Additionally JBE is becoming a partial magnet school for the 2012-2013 school year focusing on Global Leadership and following the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Our teachers this year have already begun to implement successful leadership habits - it's very exciting! We love JBE...if you live or are moving to MtP, be sure to visit and take a tour.
I have two children at James B Edwards that have excelled in so many areas in just a couple of years. Everyone at the school is so kind and caring...from the teachers to the principal. What an incredible blessing to be in this school district!
I have had 4 children go through JBE and have been totally pleased with their education. Great teachers, great principles, and I have had no problems getting help and testing if warranted. I really appreciate the effort from the staff. Kudos to all!
I have been trying to get my child tested for a learning disability and the school is non responsive. I have found that when a child has a problem in school, reading or math, the school does not care enough about the children to make sure they are tested. I have two children in this school and I am very disapointed with the teachers and staff. I am trying to remove my children and put them in a better school. For me, I can not aford a private school and the public school has given up on our children.
this is a wonderful school...I am concerned about the building of a large hospital across the street with entrance on Matthis Ferry...with an estimated 650 employees this will increase traffic, noise, and air pollution...I think it will make it dangerous for the students...
A wonderful school! We have two children enrolled at JBE, with one in fifth grade (He's been there since kindergarten) and another in second. The school is a caring, nurturing, environment that consistently produces strong academic resutlts. The staff is outstanding, with a principal and many teachers who have been at the school since it opened over twenty years ago. School pride is strong and parent involvement exceptionally high. We purposely bought in this school district and haven't been disappointed.
