I've heard so many horrible things about this school before I came here. I was honestly scared out of my mind before actually going to Alice Birney. But now that I've joined, I realize that all of that stuff that people told me wasn't true. No matter what school it is, people always get beat up. Actually, the only time people get hurt is when they mess with other people. This school is actually pretty amazing in my opinion. The work is challenging, I met some of the best kids I've ever met here, and everyday I get a good laugh. I love the students, I love the teachers, I love the school. Don't raise your kids to be pansies, and don't knock it until you try it. -7th grader, '09 - '10

I really wish I could send my daughter to another school. The parents of majority of the students really need to get involved. These kids are products of parents that don't take responsibility for what they are doing to these kids. Middle school is where these kids problems need to be addressed before entering high school, and that is not being done.

Alice Birney is a horrible excuse for a school. The students are extremely violent. If you send your kid to this school expect a huge change in their personalities. Either they will join the bullies or become victims of them. No learning takes place when your child is under duress. The administration refuses to admit the problem. They keep saying the kids just aren't studying. Well they can't study because they're are trying to hard to either fit in or be victimized.

it is real sad that on the third day of school that my child was threaten, slapped in the back of his head, hit in the face, choked, and his jewerly was taken from him by 2 boys.i send my child to school to learn and to go further in life with an education and now he is afraid to go back to this school because of this drama that your school has.the only good thing i have to say about your school is that the officers handled my sons matter very quick and showed us respect. the adm.mrs. crawford was also very nice and she knew of the boys and handled things nicely. but as far as the students there parents you really need to get involed and stay on top of your child before this happens to yours.please parents do not let this happen to your family.
