My daughter attends this school. She loves it and I am so happy with the teachers and the atmosphere. I agree that they are a little money hungry but I do not mind pitching in with fundraisers. They're a private school so they need all the help they can get. I love this school and if we weren't moving, my daughter would graduate from here. The education is wonderful and so is the staff!

My child has been going to Orangeburg Prep since first grade. One thing I do wish is that they would take more aggressive measures to secure the school. Access is way too easy. Overall, I am very happy with the education that she is getting.

It is a great campus, great teachers, great students, and a great curriculum that really prepares you for college.

I am a parent and my child currently attends OPCDC. So far, I am satisfied with the school itself with the exception that the faculty and staff do not focus on introducing the toddlers to new information that helps them to develop. The learning environment is mediocre. The kids spend most of their day playing, when the weather permits, and watching movies. My child entered OPCDC knowing her alphabets, how to count from one to ten, knowing her shapes and some of her colors, and spelling her name at 2 years of age. I think that is exceptional. I do not think that CDC is not reinforcing any valuable learning skills to the toddlers. When asked on a daily basis what she has done, it is always MEATBALLS. Moreover, I do not receive correspondence that indicates what she has learned from day to day so that I may reinforce it.

I attended the old Willington Academy years ago which became part of the schools that combined to form the school of today. My son graduated from OP and has always excelled in any topic he chooses to study.( now getting ready to obtain his third degree). I do feel they are the best in this town.

You could not ask for a more loving, nurturing, safe, academic environment to send your child to receive an excellent quality education.

although the tuition is a little high, I can say that I am very satisfied with my child's education. my child has learnt a lot since Kindergarten until now . I can see how my child has bonded with the teachers and the reading & writing skills are great. About the technology, I must say that every classroom has a computer and I have seen a Smartboard in every Elementary classroom. Orangeburg Prep offers enrichment classes,(art, music, guidance, foreign languages, library). so to finish, I am really happy with this school and I will leave my child there because the alternative schools are not close to the quality of Orangeburg Preparatory schools. like I said before tuition is high but that is the price for Quality.

This school will dollar you to death, not to mention they increased tuition for 07-08. However, their SAT Scores are above the National & State Average. My daughter just finished Kindergarten this year 2007, and she completed K4 last year2006. She is still writing her 5's backwards. But she amazes me how well she can read. A+ for Mrs. Porth. Other than being money hungry, this is a great school.

My child is attending OP for the first time this year and I can say she is happy, but I am not. The school seems to put more focus on Money than on the quality of education. The scores they send home on paper are above the public school scores and I would still recommend the school over certain Orangeburg Public School districts, but we are moving out of county before the next school year because of lack of options!
