My second child just started at EES. I have nothing but positive remarks about the school. Also, I have to disagree with a couple of the comments regarding the prinipal. She has always returned my call and appeared most concerned about her students. The teachers are wonderful in every grade.

I have had no good experience at the elementary school. The principle doesn't care about her students or her parents. Never returns phone calls and never listens if you can actually get to talk to her. The budget is her only concern.

I agree with the other parent, the principle is definately not 'hands on' for parents..Pity..They constantly insist on 'getting parents involved, yet principle is rarily available and that goes for each school in district four.

My child has a very special teacher this year. She has helped my child (and other children) learn to love English. She has introduced a variety of cultures to these children as well. My child comes home every day just filled with new knowledge from her class. This teacher has taught my son that it is okay for a young man to do well in English. She also has been a great help to him in reading. I have been so pleased with the way this teacher involves the students and makes them excited about learning. This teacher's name is Mrs. Girgis. I can only hope that my son, and my girls can have more teachers like this one. Mrs. Girgis poitned out to me (and I agree) that the other teachers she teaches with are excellent teachers as well. Edisto Elementary is lucky to have such jewels as these!

Its really bad when the Principal won't return your calls and is never in the office.
