Brookdale Elementary School

Brookdale has a very charming and pretty atmosphere, which is clean with smaller class room groups. However I agree, the students have very, very poor behaviour we plan to pull our child out of this school very, very soon. Every day my child comes home telling me the same things about fights, cursing and bullies at the school. The children are very, very poorly behaved and disrespectful. I would not recommend this school to anyone new moving to Orangeburg. It looks nice on the inside but the students are very poorly behaved and like to bully other children constantly. This is a very unsafe environment and doesn't help your child's self esteem. They also never pick up the phone and they don't get back to you when you leave messages?

Brookdale is an excellent school. I love the very inviting atmosphere and beautiful displays. The principal has an open door policy that makes me feel welcome at any time. I also like the bimonthly PTO meetings that keep me inform. My children have great teachers who care about them. I recommend this school because it is safe, inviting and academically rewarding for my children.

Brookdale Elementary has a wide variety of misbehaving, disrespectful students. I was very displeased when I enrolled my children in this horrible school. When I entered the school doors for the first time, it looked like a nice place to have your children for their educational enhancement. A few weeks later, I look back and think what exactly was I thinking. I pulled my children out of that school after 8 weeks of torture. I would not recommend putting your children in this type of environment if you appreciate them being emotionally sound and not bullied by the terrors that attend the school. The staff will not support you or assist you when you bring it to their attention. Beware of Brookdale.
