i just want to say that since i been employed here i would have to say waccamaw elementary is a great ,friendly school with the best teachers an personall keep up good work
I love Waccamaw Elementary! I have a 3rd grader and a 1st grader there. Both of my children love their teachers (as do I). I am so thankful for many things but safety is key. I also love the ability of parents to be as involved in the school as they wish. I am able to volunteer 2 or 3 days a week which gives me the ability to really be involved and know what is going on at the school. Every faculty member makes you feel appreciated and helps with any problem you may be having. As my 3rd grader has said.....WES rocks!
My daughter is in the second grade after we relocated to SC last summer. She was in a parochial school back in NY and found that the they were on par as far as academic levels. I am impressed with the cleanliness, safety and faculty attention at the school. I would recommend it.
I go to Waccamaw Elementary. It is in a clean environment. The students range between 900-1000. Our school has always been outstanding from the teachers to the janitors, it has always been great. The lunch is always nice and hot. Everything is great! I am a 5th grader. I have been here since second grade and I am impressed.
Waccamaw failed to address my childs special needs, failed to comply, develop and implement an appropriate academic and behavioral IEP, teachers lacked knowledge of his disability, failed to provide an enviornment in which he could succeed, failed to recogize his gifted and talented strengths, was discriminated against based on a disability
My daughter is in the 2nd grade. Both Ms Guarino and Ms Wesley have been wonderful, energetic careing and fair. She has enjoyed them and all her teeachers so far and so have I
2003-2004 was our first year in public second grade. We were very nervous. My son had a fantastic year! He loved his very strict teacher and the variety of students. He had an autistic child in his class (high functioning) who had a shadow. They all loved him and he was never any trouble. My son came from another school where kids with learning disabilities were not singled out or had shadows. I have been thrilled about Waccamaw, so much that my other child is starting this year. I am very impressed with the principal and I know I can speak with him at any time. Now that is important to me! I look forward to another great year!
