I am very pleased to have had two of my three children attend this school. I am looking forward to my third child being able to attend it also. But the district states that they want to close it. I am very upset with this thought, I seriously hope that it doesn't happen....

I work at Pelzer Elementary School and I have never worked with a more wonderful group of professionals anywhere. The faculty and staff at Pelzer go above and beyond the call of duty at every level. The dedication to our students encompasses everyone that is in contact with our students. This includes the bus driver, cafeteria staff, nurse, secretary, guidance counselor, maintenance and all of the teaching staff. Our teachers give their all every day for every child. Every student is treated with respect and compassion. Our principal is outstanding and supportive in every way. Words cannot express the pride one feels while working at Pelzer Elementary.

The guidance counselor is outstanding. My child is able to talk to her any time he needs to. We are so happy to have the resources the school provides.

Go elsewhere, there is no quality of academic programs period. The quality of the academics is as low as it can possibly be. Related arts programs are available and the teachers love them, more break time from the students. Parental involvement is in fact discouraged, When parents remain unaware, then their is no discord in the school. Parent ignorance to the school's low level of quality is bliss to teachers and principal. Be aware what you don't know WILL harm your child Think twice here.

This school is small and should be able to provide much more than is provided. On the surface, it seems like a great school, however, if there is a problem facing your child you can forget assistance. I moved my child to the other school in this area Palmetto Elementary, and found it to be of extensive superior quality, regarding teachers, principal and an all around superior educational experience.

Pelzer Elementary School is to be highly recommended for the leadership from the principal to the dedication of the teachers. The school provides great academic leadership combined with innovative motivational events for the students. It is the best elementary school, I have had the pleasure of viewing first hand as the grandparent of a student. The school is attentive to the specific needs of each student and incorporates diverisity in many creative ways. I highly reccomend this school to any parent wishing to move to this area of Anderson county. A school with a true mission for the students as well as dedicated faculty and staff who remain true to their mission as great educators. Charlean Eason R.N. grandparent
