School highlights:
I have found that the buddy system is how they run the Newberry District so if your child has been done wrong don't expect the staff to help you if it is a staff member that has harassed or abused your child. I do not recommend these schools.
Communications to parents is non-existant or flawed. Presentations are unrehearsed, confusing and unprofessional. Website and billboards are not updated. Primary reason for low grading is directly related to poor leadership and teachers complaining about their pay and workload in class to students. This school has the potential to be so much better. There are many committed, great teachers but underperforming staff and instructors cause the school to miss the mark. Please improve your communications!
I like the school although i think some of the teacher lack communication skills. Being that the internet is the best way for me to get in touch with the teachers, i have found that some choose to ignore the emails and just not respond. I also check the website often because i feel like sometimes i'm not kept as informed of things going on at the school as i schould be. Im on the fence with this school and that's bad as my daughter will be going into her last year of middle school in fall 09.
