Southsidechristian is an amazing school. I have a 3 year old who just completed his second year there and a 7 year old who has been there since she was 21 months old. I could not ask for better teachers. I know that my children are loved no matter how they perform academically and regardless of our financial status. The school faculty and teachers have been a great example of the love of Christ and I love that God is the heart of this school. There will never be a perfect school (even Christian schools) because "All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God". However SCS is a school filled with faculty and teachers who love what they do, love the students, and love The Lord.. They are willing to admit mistakes, respond humbly, and proceed with integrity. This is a school that strives to be the best they can academically while committing to caring for children's spiritual well being first and foremost. My prayer is that my children will be blessed to attend SCS until they graduate from high school.

The staff of this school are Christians many are wonderful . However, the gossiping is disheartening. Likewise is the preferential treatment to students whose parents do more for the teacher ($) or whom have a unprofessionally close relationship with the family outside of class. While it is acceptable to have relationships with students' families outside of school, it crosses the line of professionalism when not only her students but other families in other grades/ areas are aware of her conduct. It is likewise unprofessional when that teacher looks the other way with that student's behavior, praises him more, and is constantly w/this family. Likewise disturbing is the fact that the school allows this family, cousins, grandparents etc to make everyone feel inferior while they hide behind their "Christian faith",smile and jokes. While my family has also been financially blessed , we instill in our children integrity and working for the Lord. Our children are very well liked, involved and it is not a case of popular vs bully. This is damaging our school . Old and new families alike comment on the "system " and this family as well.It is no wonder enrollment drops year after year!

Southside Christian School has been full of staff who often I see and hear gossiping about families. Most teachers seem to be there for a discount for their own children instead of a love for children and teaching. Kindergarten and first grades spend most of their lunch with the lights out and not allowed to speak. There is very limited parent involvement. Parents are more often discouraged from helping or visiting their child's classroom. There are a few really great teachers and principals who truly seek the child's best interest. It's seems to be the older the grade the better the facilities and staff. The elementary students are in a portable trailer while High School just got a 5k running track. The school is very behind in technology for the lower grades. There are much better public Elementary school options in the area with great Christian teachers and amazing facilities. Don't waist your time and money on SCS.

The school was an answer to prayer. They have successfully taught my 2 children how to be good stewards of Christ. They both attended the school for elementary, middle and high school and have stated that they enjoyed attending the school. They are both now in college and doing very well in both social and academic settings I can't say enough good things about the school.

Southside Christian School. I have had my children at SSC and for the most part, the school has been a good school. I am concerned however that they are loosing the focus of a "Christian School" wanting to cater to secular parents that want more "schooling" and less Bible" quoted by a school official. Frankly, if I wanted that, I wouldn't be sending my children to a christian school.

I have two girls that have attended SCS for 10 years. One is in college now and received a full ride due to the preparation and dedication of the faculty of SCS. God is at the center of everything they do. It is a priority to the leadership of the school to challenge students academically but to develop them into leaders that will affect a change whatever their vocation to the glory of God. I will forever be grateful to SCS.

ever go to Southside! The teachers judge you by what you have and so do the students they are all snooty and unless your a millionaire you wont fit in. its all about what you have and no one cares about if your a good person its just based on what you have. the only good thing about it is the food. Never go here unless your a rich snoot!!!

SCS is a fabulous Christian school. While not overpowering on the faith aspect, the teachers and faculty are very competent and loving Christian people. Our son has attended SCS for 5 years and we have sacrificed a lot of material things to keep him there due to the cost; but we don't regret it, and will keep him there until he graduates from high school. If you want you child to learn American Christian values it's the only place to be. Oakview can't conpare!!.

My children have been attending SCS for 9 years. We currently have 3 children in the school(one in Upper School, one in Lower School, and one in Early Education. We absolutly love the school! The teachers are awesome and really take time to know the students. They have a love for God and it is poured out into the lives of the kids. We would not attend anywhere else and are so thankful that this kind of spiritual and academic nuturing is available to our children.

I have 2 children at this school and we have been very pleased for the 2 years our girls have been here. The teachers have been great and the school is outstanding. I like that it offers a large variety of extra-curricular activities and sports for when they are older. I drive a long way to take them here and it is worth it. It is nice to have my children in a school that encourages prayer instead of discouraging it. It is comforting that they learn about moral values at school. I went to public school in what is a very over-rated district and it was a terrible experience. I am grateful for Southside Christian.

This school has an excellent academic program. Our children are learning things beyond their grade level, and the teachers are remarkable. They also have developed a wonderful, creative, and loving environment for the children and teenagers. Southside also offers top music and athletic programs. We have been very pleased with all that this school has to offer.

Committed teachers and a wonderful fine arts program. A little expensive - but it is worth it compared to the public school system. Christian valued abound - behavior issues are addressed - kids are very respectful. High Marks!

Great school. Fairly expensive, however, very reasonable compared to other private schools in this area. Love the Christian atmosphere.

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
