Providence Christian Academy is a private non-denominational Christian school. I have had, and still have, two children in the school for five and two years respectively. The teachers are committed and certified in lower grades. Some of the high school teachers also teach at local colleges and don't all have certification but do have extensive experience in subject matter being taught. This year for my older child, who is in middle school, chess club, science and technology club, Beta Club and band are favorite extracurricular pursuits. Band program is one of best in area among all schools. High School football, basketball and baseball are well organized and routinely receive visits by college recruiters. Facilities are modest and adequate but not new. Parents routinely pitch in to help do work around the building and help teachers in their rooms.

We wanted a school that would combine the Word of God with high quality academics and a better variety of classes and activities than what you would find at a public school. We're very pleased with Providence. Our daughter is in 2nd grade and has attended since preschool. This school offers preschool (age 3) through 12th grade, enabling her to continue at this facility. They use a traditional classroom setting (as opposed to televised lectures as a few of the other area private schools are using) and they will not accept more than 16 students per class. The building was designed as a school. They have an extended care program for before and after school hours, great track & soccer field, basketball & softball. Their Juniors/Seniors earn college credit at Southern Wesleyan. They have excellent band/ choir/orchestra. We are extremely pleased with this school.
