School highlights:
Was very skeptical in the begining, there are some very strict teachers ,but do you work and find out which ones are good. The principle is Mr. jackson, who is very involved and handles every situation with care .
I can't say one bad word about Kingsbury I have three children that attend the school it is one of the best schools any of my children have ever attended! Staff, teachers and the principal are awesome! The kids are great! I just love it I am so glad that we were blessed to find a house in the district for this school! My kids are getting a quality education from teachers who care what more could a parent ask for!
I love Kingsbury Elementary. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and I wouldn't take my children to any other school. At Kingsbury, they are loved and pushed to always do their best.
Kingsbury is a wonderful school with a great faculty and staff. One of my children attended this school and the other two are currently attending. I am an active parent volunteer and Kingsbury provides many opportunities for parents to be involved in the educational process. Again this is a great school with a warm a friendly administration.
Both of my children attended Kingsbury for five years. The principal now is the best they have had in years. The faculty and staff are a caring, supportive group of people. The teachers are highly qualified and are genuinely concerned about their students. I highly recommend this school.
My son goes to 1st grade here and we love the school. We are not thrilled with his teacher, but recognize that it is the person, not the school at fault. The school counselor is always available to discuss concerns and the principal is very active and responsive to parents!
My 10yr old has attended KBE for the last 4 yrs. We think the Special Ed program overall is outstanding and his resource teachers have been wonderful to work with. My son has made great progress in overcoming his learning disability (social communication/interaction/attention). My 7yr old is thriving and reading at a 3rd grade level. Our boys' teachers have been very receptive to our involvement as parents. (Unfortunately, some of their students have parents who don't care quite as much about their education.) Punishment for school infractions seems fair. Parent involvement seems fairly high from what I've seen at PTA meetings, etc. As retired military, we highly recommend this school to all newly assigned military we come in contact with, who have elementary-aged children, especially those with special needs.
I have had 2 children go all the way through elementary school at Kingsbury. My older child had a very positive experience, the teachers were great and very interested in the students and their learning environment. My second child was not so lucky, we had a bullying problem by a another student for the last 2 years (4th and 5th grades)My child was miserable, and cried everyday after school. to the school (as well as my husband) Nothing was ever done about this bully. We have since moved into another area of town and I am very thankful to have removed my child from that setting. I would not recommend this school now due to discipline problems.
