I think Furman has too many troubles. Principal Feeny is taking over, and it is for the better. This school has to get a better curriculem. It is not a good school. The discipline is awful. It has problems. I would not recommend attending this school.

I think Furman is a great school! It has had a couple of incidents but overall it is a great school. The school has very nice staff and the principal is a nice man also. The school is much better than what others have said. No matter what others say, Furman is a good school to go to. Recently, my son came home and told me his school got the highest grades on MAP test and Benchmark test out of the whole District. I think that Furman has some of the best teachers that I know. One in particular is the most splendid of them all. She teaches Pre- algebra. she is one that strives you to do your best. thank you for all you've done for my chld.

My kids have only been in this school for a month and I'm ready to move them. They come home everyday telling me about fights they see. They've even said the teachers had to call for backup on more than one occasion. I think the kids are running the school, not the faculty. My daughter and her classmates where left alone in class for just about the whole period with no supervision. Stay away from this school if you can.

I agree with the other parent. There is chaos in the halls and common areas. My son brings home very little grades and it is impossible for me to get info about tests in advance even though i have asked the teachers repeatedly. My son doesn't like to study so he won't tell me. The homework hotline isn't working. The bathrooms are dirty and have very few supplies if any.I would not recommend this school to anyone.

I beleive that students would be safer on the streets than in the halls at Furman. There are constant fights in ths halls and a total lack of discipline or respect. The Superintenent needs to visit the hall of Furman at class changes to see the havoc. Additionally, the bathrooms lack maintenance and cleanliness.
