Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

My two children are both 8th grade graduates of Prince of Peace. My younger child is now a junior at St. Joseph's while my older child is attending Clemson as a freshman. Sending my children to POPCS was possibly the best decision I made for them. The faith formation is outstanding, the curriculum is challenging and the teachers and principal are hard-working, caring and approachable. Prince of Peace gave them a solid foundation in their faith as well as academics, enabling them to handle honors and AP classes. My oldest now has most of her college expenses covered with scholarships. I will always be thankful for the wonderful Catholic education that my children received at Prince of Peace.

Prince of Peace has been a life saver. Not only are the teachers very well qualified, but the attention to faith is outstanding. I had been looking for a school that challenged my child academically and Prince of Peace does exactly that. The teachers are dedicated and will not hesitate to help in any way they can. Love the school environment. Great school worth every penny!!!

Prince of Peace is an exceptional school. The teachers and parents are devoted to providing a quality, faith-based education. The principal is continually working to upgrade the curriculum and educational environment. My child just completed the same grade that two previous parents commented on. Third grade was definately challenging but that is exactly what we are looking for and paying for. Prince of Peace demands hard work from their students which brings out their fullest potential.

I have to rate this school as unsatisfactory, because of the negative impact third grade had on my son. We no longer attend Prince of Peace, third grade is poorly taught, by poorly qualified teachers. Four thousand dollars is a too much money to waste on third grade. We had been happy and expected to remain at Prince of Peace through eighth grade, now we are at a charter school and loving it. Avoid third grade at this school.

My oldest daughter just graduated from Prince of Peace and is doing very well at a top catholic High school in Greenville. We were very pleased with the rigorous curriculum and catholic environment. The principal consistently works on the curriculum which the test scores prove. We are very pleased to still have another child there. We expect the same high quality education and excellent results.

Our daughter attended this school for several years. We were attracted to the school because of the self professed "small class sizes", faith integration, curriculum, small student body and overall "good feeling" of the school/church family. However, by our second year in the school, things had changed (and we later found out that several parents had these problems for years at the school). When our daughter had problems completing the monster load of homework, we were told she "wasn't keeping up", when her grades started to drop we were told the same. What we WEREN'T told is that most of the children in that class were struggling. What we WEREN'T told was that the teacher had never been an elementary grade teacher (had only taught middle grade math). The last straw was when the school decided to (again) change curriculum approaches. We pulled our daughter... as did several other families over the same issues.

Great teachers and excellent teacher-student ratio. 2009 Iowa tests results showed that most of the students are among the top 10% of the nation.
