Prince of Peace is an exceptional school. The teachers and parents are devoted to providing a quality, faith-based education. The principal is continually working to upgrade the curriculum and educational environment. My child just completed the same grade that two previous parents commented on. Third grade was definately challenging but that is exactly what we are looking for and paying for. Prince of Peace demands hard work from their students which brings out their fullest potential.

I have to rate this school as unsatisfactory, because of the negative impact third grade had on my son. We no longer attend Prince of Peace, third grade is poorly taught, by poorly qualified teachers. Four thousand dollars is a too much money to waste on third grade. We had been happy and expected to remain at Prince of Peace through eighth grade, now we are at a charter school and loving it. Avoid third grade at this school.

My oldest daughter just graduated from Prince of Peace and is doing very well at a top catholic High school in Greenville. We were very pleased with the rigorous curriculum and catholic environment. The principal consistently works on the curriculum which the test scores prove. We are very pleased to still have another child there. We expect the same high quality education and excellent results.

Our daughter attended this school for several years. We were attracted to the school because of the self professed "small class sizes", faith integration, curriculum, small student body and overall "good feeling" of the school/church family. However, by our second year in the school, things had changed (and we later found out that several parents had these problems for years at the school). When our daughter had problems completing the monster load of homework, we were told she "wasn't keeping up", when her grades started to drop we were told the same. What we WEREN'T told is that most of the children in that class were struggling. What we WEREN'T told was that the teacher had never been an elementary grade teacher (had only taught middle grade math). The last straw was when the school decided to (again) change curriculum approaches. We pulled our daughter... as did several other families over the same issues.

Great teachers and excellent teacher-student ratio. 2009 Iowa tests results showed that most of the students are among the top 10% of the nation.
