Whitmire Community School as it is now known is one of the best learning environments I've had the pleasure of experiencing. It offers its' students an environment condusive to learning. The faculty and student body ae pleasant . The students have access to the educators, as most are members of the community. The students are provided with one on one instruction which is rare in most educational institutions today. We are blessed to have such a caring administration and community.

I use to go to this school but left not even a year ago. I had great friends and a great school. I know it is not in a huge city or extremely high tech, but it deserves a 9 if not a 10! It is a small town school that could pass for a big city school. But i guess u have to live in a small town to see it's true potential. Brittany M

I am very disappointed to see that WCS only has a rating of a 3! Our school is an awesome school and our kids are getting a great education. You will never find teachers who care more for the kids then the teachers at WCS. The score of 3 is gives the impression that the school isn t as good as others and this simply isn t true. If you are considering our school we want to welcome you and hope you will come and visit before taking just the score into account.

Whitmire Community School may be a small school, but you find excellent teachers who care about their students, encourage them to achieve in the academics, and will not hesitate to contact you when there is a problem. It was wonderful to hear a teacher say to me during a parent-teacher conference, 'oh, yes, I know where you live; you live across the street from my father. If I have a concern regarding your daughter, I will just step across the street!' You will also find that the community and school heavily support sports....football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, tennis.....we may be a small town, but we have a big heart!

We moved to this area because of the school. It is in a very small town, but our children receive an excellent education and more than that, they make life-long friends. The teachers and administration at this school are always on top of things! They not only teach our children, they love them!! GREAT SCHOOL!
