Although small and appealing visually, the teaching and staff are highly inadequate. The teachers exhibit little control over their classrooms and disciplinary action used is inappropriate and tends to hurt the child's feeling and self esteem. Aa far as higher learning, that is impossible in a setting where the class is gauged and held back by the slowest member of the room.
This school is very freindly and the atmosphere for the students seems to be very positive. The teachers in general seem to be more experienced and seem to have lost their enthusiasum for teaching though. There is very little differentiation for students on the top or bottom end of the class and students having trouble were never given any suggestions for improving their situation. The parents were never informed of the situation either and only found out after attending the P/T conferences. After asking what could be done to help the student improve, the teacher had nothing to suggest and focused on the positive points of the student. On the other end of the spectrum, students that are excelling do not have anythign that would help them work to their potential and seem to be bored in the classroom activities that are structured for a more average student population.
