Our boys have attended Dakota Valley Schools all their lives. Both required IEP programs which were excellent when the school enrollment was smaller. Now that they have grown, this element is likened to visiting a vaccination clinic, your children become 'one among many of the same'. I have found most of the staff to be well-educated, receptive, and always up-to-date with information on our boys when I inquire. As previously mentioned, when the school enrollment grew, the aim for excellence became smaller. Overall, I believe Dakota Valley is still a good school. They just need to realize that not everyone has the same means when they plan activities and request supplies. The PTA is of the mindset that $50.00 isn't at all difficult to come up with as a donation. They have plenty of money, yet still act as if the cupboards are bare.
