Does anyone know anything about the special ed programs for preschoolers at these two schools:

Burbank Elemetary in North Hollywood (Preschool Intensive)

Riverside Dr Elementary in Sherman Oaks (Preschool Mixed)

My 3 yr old son has behavior issues in two private preschools and the school district offers him these two special ed preschools to choose from.  I can't find any information on LAUSD's website about these two preschools or the type of preschool programs that they are offering.

Any help will be greatly appreicated.

Hi!
My son has special needs & we are currently in a PCC program in an LAUSD school. Unfortunately I am not familiar w/either of the schools you list but I'd go on Peachhead2 (a yahoo group, free to join, made up of other moms, dads, etc). Go to yahoo groups & type in Peachhead2. It's very easy to join & you can post your question. Over 7,000 members. They also have a Peachhead Special Needs group. Post there as well as this is a special needs question. It is a wonderful resource for information & if someone doesn't know the answer to your question, you can bet they can give you a link or other info. to get you something helpful! (Feel free to email me if you have any questions! :)

bellajuliette,

Thanks for the information on Peachhead. I've heard the name before, but never knew where people found it.

Maybe you already know this, but preschool intensive is 5 days a week, 4 hours a day (i think). The preschool mix classes are only Mon.-Thurs. 2 hrs. and 20 minutes. You should go visit both classes before you decide.
