Never say never, unless you want to start paying for keyboarding lessons now. Some middle schools require typed work, yet the kids don't have skills.

Since I don't plan on going to my daughter's job for her when she grows, I won't do her homework for her now. She will need those skills someday!

Never - except we typed in a book report for our 4th grader twice. Then I vowed never again... old fashioned handwriting or printing is fine until they know how to type.

Yes, but only for special projects. It's those big science or "build a volcano" projects that get you. Unfortunately, all the other parents seem to do it, so it's a viscous cycle.
