Excellent idea!! My son is graduating Pre-k today and we are taking him to Rainforest Cafe for lunch with all of his closest friends :) Makes kids realize its something to be proud of.

I also agree with biggranny, you do believe you will do the next graduation because you've done the last one. It's a good habit to be in for kids, makes it all real and attainable.

I graduated from kinder, elementary, middle, high school, college and grad school. They were all big events to me that I earned. I didn't feel like any of it was old hat. These are major rites of passage.

Only if it's a small ceremony. Everything costs money.

I think, as a student, it would be really fun dressing up all nice and graduation-y. But then by high school graduation thrill would be gone because we are used to it. So i don't know. Little ceromonies maybe.

I think it diminishes the importance of the High School graduation. By that time they have graduated from daycare, pre-school, Kindergarten, Elementary School and Middle School.
