It's important especially in a global economy. Spanish should be a requirement in all schools then German, Mandarin or Farsi as electives.

It's very important. I wish people were more aware of Immersion programs in their area.

In today's world, every kid should know a second language. I would vote for Spanish (for everyday living) and Chinese (for dealing with an up and coming financial superpower).

Very important -- the US is much more diverse, and being fluent in more than one language opens up more doors and career opportunities.

I think it is pretty important only if at first it is to be starting with that childs Natioality and not something they will not be brought up in in everyday life....Something tells me heritage first then expansion..Thank you
