My child's 4th grade class has 35 kids with one teacher. And the high school in our area has over 4600 students. If the ratio kept going higher I would be awfully tempted. We're already trying to see if we can afford private as an option.

From a parent who has tried both public school and online...definately a better option for some students. More about learning with less social drama. What schools don't want you to know...free public online school just apply during open enrollment!

This depends on the situation. I hear all who feel the need of interacting & a teacher, but isn't that what we are too? We were our child's 1st teacher and still are everyday. Online ed. is different I've experienced it & with our Help they can do it

No, I think children need interaction. I would not say never because circumstances and situations can make you do something you never thought you would.

I would if Texas schools continue to push that Testing junk. Kids need to learn more than how to take a stupid test. I thank god I avoided what today's "education" is peddling and I see more dropouts around the corner if testing is all there is.
