I think there should be a time limit on the home work rather than a set amount because some kids take longer and some quicker. This way the homework is based on the capabilities of the child. The grading should be based on what they did and how well

I think too much homework is the work that don't give time for childrens to relax. is good to have homework because it prepare childrens for their lives but not to take their infant away.

I believe homework is too much when the content of the homework that is brought home has not been taught in the classroom. Homework should be a review/practice not something the parent has to teach.
That depends on how interesting it is. Some people look at homework as more knowledge and interesting things to do while at home. We enjoy watching her learn as much now as we did when she was two so we make it a family time. I still love learning.
I believe ALL homework that rwquires a kid who has already been in a strenuous environment for 7 hours a day is too much. Perhaps some nightly reading and weekend takehome quiz would be suficient. Homework is what made me HATE school & learning
